Stroll along the streets of historic downtown Covington and satisfy your sweet tooth at the 5th annual Chocolate Tour. Serving up decadent chocolate treats are 23 merchants makes for the perfect girlfriend day trip or early Valentine’s Day date 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 10, 2018. Follow the map with the numbered locations for a tasting tour. Once the tour is completed, you can enter in for a chance to win a basket stuffed with chocolate desserts, gift certificates, and a variety of other prizes. Tickets are $5 in advance and $8 on Feb. 10 at three ticket booths located on the square.

Let the Tennessee Trails & Byways’ Great River Road lead you to Halls, Tennessee for Chocolate Bliss, a small town celebration of everything chocolate. Taste your way through gourmet delights all day during this year’s Valentine’s Day weekend 2-4 p.m. Feb. 10, 2018 at Halls First United Methodist. “Dine amongst the dinosaurs” during the Valentine’s Dinner planned for lovebirds Feb. 14, 2018 in the Dinosaur Hall of Discovery Park of America. Enjoy candlelight, soft music and an unforgettable ambience of Discovery Park. A cash bar and buffet-style dinner will be served along with a special dessert surprise. Tickets are $150 per couple.


Surprise the love of your life with a getaway to the Birthplace of Rock n' Roll with the Valentine's Day package provided by the Peabody Hotel Memphis. The package includes a floral arrangement upon check-in, a bottle of champagne and four tuxedo strawberries among the Peabody's other luxury amenities. Nashville's Schermerhorn Symphony Center plays host to a variety of romantic concerts beginning Feb. 13 through Feb. 20. First up, is Diana Krall with the Grammy Award-winning Nashville Symphony who will perform Feb. 13-14, 2018 with some of her famous songs from hit albums like Quiet Nights and From This Moment On. Her contralto vocals will sing you and your sweetheart to bliss with songs like "Isn't It Romantic," "Like Someone in Love" and much more. Best-selling pianist, Jim Brickman performs "An Evening of Romance" with vocalist Victoria Shaw and electric violinist Tracy Silberman at the Schermerhorn Feb. 18, 2018. Platinum-selling singer/songwriter and Nashville native, KEM performs a special one-night-only performance "Valentine's with KEM" Feb. 19 and on Feb. 20, the Nashville Symphony will perform "Romantic Masterpieces" which include pieces from Brahms and Dvořák. 


If you're looking to take in some history Valentine's Day weekend, travel to Oaklands Mansion where the 7th annual "Wedding Dresses through the Decades" is currently on display through March 4, 2018. More than 50 gowns are placed on loan and exhibited, many for the first time ever. Vintage gowns from more than 100 years ago along with brides' photographs and their stories from their wedding day are shared. Enjoy bride dolls from different decades and marvel at the change of wedding dress fashions through the years.

Photos are taken in front of Lover’s Leap to commemorate the special getaway.


Knoxville has lots of ideas on how couples can spend their Valentine’s Day. One such idea is spending a romantic dinner at Emilia Italian followed by a handcrafted cocktail at Sapphire and a lovely overnight stay at The Oliver Hotel.

Have a fun night of entertainment at the Tennessee Theatre. The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra will captivate audiences Feb. 15-16, 2018 when they perform music from Tchaikovsky's "Sleeping Beauty" suite as part of their Valentine's Weekend: Russian Passion concert. Rachmaninoff and Rimsky-Korsakov pieces are also performed.
