Memphis' grandiose Graceland, the iconic site of Elvis Presley's historic home and grounds, has taken its experience to another legendary level with the addition of an interactive multimedia iPad tour.
Narrated by notable Elvis fan and celebrity actor John Stamos, the guide offers a fully immersive approach to the Graceland mansion and surrounding scenes. On-screen facts, videos and games work in-sync with home décor flourishes and unique room-specific displays.
The iPad's navigation unleashes never-before-seen content, revealing even more attributes to Elvis Presley's long-lived legacy. Play trivia on Elvis' fame and fortune, and watch footage of Elvis's first Christmas at Graceland, backyard fireworks, and his private wedding to Priscilla Presley, among other memorable moments.
Nine available languages—from German to French and Japanese—welcome international tourists to a hospitable true Tennessee experience. And for the kids, a "Youth" version of the iPad tour offers interactive games such as live photo (did someone say Elvis photo bomb?) component that is emailed to guests upon their departure from Graceland.
The award-winning tour model is an integral piece to the enhancement and expansions of the Graceland attraction by Elvis Presley Enterprises Inc., which also includes a new 450-room luxury hotel, The Guest House at Graceland opening to the public this October. Let the vacation planning commence!
Experience the new and improved Graceland iPad tour yourself during Elvis Week on Aug. 8-15, during which thousands of fans and impersonators flock to Memphis for creative festivities in honor of the King of Rock n Roll. The event culminates with the always-moving Candlelight Vigil 8:30 p.m. Aug. 15 at Graceland's front gate. Fans pay respects as they slowly make their way up the driveway to the Meditation Garden.
