Already known for its premier fishing spots, this program will make Tennessee a best-in-class destination for anglers worldwide — beginners, experts and every skill level in between.

Ten large reservoirs feature Bill Dance Signature Lake access points constructed to a standard of excellence endorsed and designed by Bill Dance Outdoors in collaboration with Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation and Tennessee Department of Tourist Development. These ten reservoirs include “Bill Dance Signature Lake access areas” with new or improved assets driving economic activity year-round for each surrounding community.

In addition, four “small venue” lakes entice anglers of all ages and experience levels to enjoy the outdoors while experiencing an above-average catch rate.

Brown's Creek Lake

Located in Natchez Trace State Park, this 167 acre beauty includes a boat launching ramp, fish attractors, fishing pier and rental boats.

Chickamauga Lake

This 36,240 acre reservoir on the Tennessee River boasts 40 miles of shoreline and is home to stockings of crappie, walleye, and Florida largemouth bass.

Dale Hollow Lake

Situated on the Kentucky/Tennessee border, this 27,700 acre reservoir is home to the current world record smallmouth bass.

Douglas Lake

With 555 miles of farmland and residential shoreline, this lake has ample amounts of different fish for anglers.

Fall Creek Falls Lake

Fall Creek Falls lake is located in one of Tennessee’s largest and most visited state parks that sprawls over 20,000 acres across the eastern top of the rugged Cumberland Plateau.

Herb Parsons Lake

Located in Fayette County, this 177-acre lake is a great spot for catfish and crappie.

Kentucky Lake

This 160,000-acre reservoir on the Tennessee River is the largest artificial lake by surface area in the United States east of the Mississippi River.

Lake Halford

This 1000-acre lake is located in Carroll County and is complete with a boat launching ramp, fish attractors, a fishing pier, and rental boats.

Norris Lake

With a max width of 1.2 miles and a max depth of 210 feet, this 34,200-acre reservoir is the largest lake on a tributary of the Tennessee River.

Old Hickory Lake

Situated on the Cumberland River, this 22,500-acre reservoir is owned and operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers.

Pickwick Lake

This Tennessee Valley Authority reservoir is 43,100 acres of serious fishing. It’s home to major sport species including Largemouth, Smallmouth, and Spotted Bass. Bluegill, Redear, Sunfish, and Catfish.

Reelfoot Lake

Located in the upper northwest corner of the state, this 10,247-acre lake is the largest natural lake in the state.

Tims Ford Lake

This 10,700 acre lake has 250 miles of shorelines, is bordered by 5 cities, and has six islands that are accessible for camping and exploring.

Watauga Lake

Watauga is a beautiful 6,430 acre Tennessee Valley Authority reservoir. Its 106-miles of shoreline is adjoined by The Cherokee National Forest
