Dixie Stampede: A Dazzling Display of Family Tradition and the American Spirit

Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede is an immersive experience of family fun and top notch entertainment nestled at the foot of the Smoky Mountains in Pigeon Forge.

Dixie Stampede has been a family tradition for more than two decades and now the world’s most visited dinner show has new sights and sounds sure to dazzle returning and first-time guests. State-of-the-art audio, lighting and an LED wall backdrop that honors the Smoky Mountain landscape are among the reimagined show’s $2.5 million renovations.

Dubbed “The Most Fun Place To Eat In The Smokies,” the dinner show offers families a thrilling musical production featuring 32 magnificent horses – thundering hooves actually rattle tables – and a talented cast performing horse-riding feats set to phenomenal music and dances.

The experience begins before you even get inside the 35,000-square-foot arena. Arrive early to stroll the famous “Horse Walk” where you will meet the stars of the show and talk with cast members that work with the horses. From there, visit the gift shop for some world-famous original creamy vegetable soup or make your own stick horse.

Once inside, catch the Dixie Belle Saloon Show featuring downhome bluegrass and country music from Mountain Ruckus. Enjoy snacks and non-alcoholic beverages before heading into the breathtaking arena. A mouthwatering four-course feast is orchestrated right into the show as stunning visuals powered by 12.5 million LED lights transport guests deep into the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains.

Choose a side and prepare to cheer as the friendly competition between the North and South kicks off. Theatrical lighting and sound tell the story of America’s past like never before. Aerials acts, trick riding, music and dance come together as the excitement climbs toward a patriotic finale.

Families can meet their favorite horses and riders after the show and have pictures made with the talented and friendly cast, capturing memories that will last a lifetime.

Dixie Stampede has been a Tennessee family vacation must-see for years, but this year the joy and excitement of the stampede is taken to a whole new level. For those who haven’t yet experienced the show, there has never been a better time to share in the unique telling of America’s past than now.
