Learn more about Craig Rollins Live "In the House".
Invigorating, innovative, relentless and refining are some words used for describing his performances. Born and resides in the Tennessee valley town of Rockwood TN. with his longtime sweetheart/wife of 28 years and their son(13) & daughter(7). A coveted skilled Craftsman by trade for 20+ years.
Guitarist and Singer of Songs, blending a mixture of all different genres of music has led to a unique sound all his own. The early years were tied up in the angsts of youth and the sounds of heavy metal guitars, but the sands of time sifted away and the story in a song became more of the interest. The three chords and the truth format is the new direction that is becoming more prevalent. Armed with talents up his sleeve, like a three string shovel guitar for slide blues, a couple of unique percussive devices (including a 70’s hard shell suitcase as a kick drum), and an old skateboard lap steel guitar. All of these being hand built by the hands that play them and using old Harmony guitars built in the U.S.A. Chicago factory during the 60’s and 70’s is a big part of the musical recipe. Current main instruments include a 1962 and 1972 archtop acoustics with self-installed P-90 pickups and a 1964 hollow body Rockit electric guitar. “There’s a lot of mojo and soul in these old guitars and it comes right through to your fingertips.” Becoming tired of coordinating and trying to keep multiple bands together and focused throughout the years, the idea of going at it alone as a solo artist made sense, and it took a year to enhance the sound and structure that would begin 2018.
