This annual Education Pow Wow & Fall Festival in held each year in October in the beautiful outdoors at Long Hunter State Park on Old Hickory Lake, arguably the most dramatic season in Tennessee. The Pow Wow is a three day festival celebrating Native American Culture and the spirit of the "old ways." This event offers you an opportunity to experience the beauty of Fall in Tennessee and witness and participate in an age old tradition of our native peoples by coming together to dance, sing, partake of native foods, arts and crafts and community spirit. This is the largest Native American Pow Wow east of the Mississippi and serves as the largest fund raiser for NAIA, a 501(c) non-profit organization serving the Native American Indians living throughout the state of Tennessee. This is your opportunity to glimpse back to an earlier time when Tennessee was the domain of the Native American Indians and an overall fun and educational outing for the entire family.
