Learn more about Oktober Heritage Festival.
Come join us as we celebrate our unique heritage and those who settled and developed our area. Hohenwald is a community of diverse background—Swiss-German immigrants who brought orchestral music and beautiful architecture, and the Appalachia and Native American influences who brought homesteading skills. This year, we will be featuring the Swiss-German heritage on Hohenwald’s Main Street. This part of the festival will include arts and crafts for both kids and adults, vendors, and live music. The Appalachia influence will be featured in the city parking lot by our Modern Homesteading Expo, featuring classes and demonstrations on primitive to modern to high-tech skills.
Begin your journey into Hohenwald by exploring the miles and miles of yardsales coming into town. Once you arrive there will be lots of food, music and products from local farmers and artisans. Our annual classic car, truck, & motorcycle show (which is held on Saturday only) had 192 entries in 2017! Stay an extra day or two and explore the history rich area.
