Michael Childress “My music journey started at an early age - on a cattle farm on Deer Creek near Linden, Tennessee,” says Michael Childress. “Though most of my family played musical instruments, my inspiration came from my Mother and Grandfather. Momma led the music in our little country church where Grandpa played. What I remember most, though, is Grandpa’s “Shade Tree Bluegrass”. “After starting in church, I branched out to local rock -n - roll bands, but, man... those country roots run deep,” Childress laughs. “Eventually, country became mainstream for me again. I’ve even written some country songs such as “My Home in Tennessee” and “Chert Pit”. With influences such as Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams Jr, and nowadays Chris Stapleton and Eric Church, I would label my music as an eclectic mix of Country Rock and Blues.”
