In commemoration of the Cherohala Skyway's 22nd anniversary, the Charles Hall Museum and Monroe County Tourism will host a Cherohala Skyway Festival on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at the Charles Hall Museum in Tellico Plains, Tenn., from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There will be live Bluegrass music including the 2018 Bluegrass Music Band of the Year, The Farm Hands. Rounding out the festival will be food, vendors, local artisans, crafters, Appalachian demonstrations, antique tractors, antique lawn mowers, small engines and a huge Tellico Plains library book sale.
Activities include children's craft area, inflatables, safe archery, horse drawn wagon rides, and barrel train rides. Lunch combos and many desserts including funnel cakes will be available.
Food proceeds go to the Charles Hall Museum's foundation, a non-profit foundation established for the museum to benefit the town of Tellico Plains and the Tellico Plains Library.
