This adorable cottage is located in downtown Centerville, Tennessee just a 5 minute walk into the town square where you will find a variety of shops and restaurants. Centerville is known for being the home of Minnie Pearl (Hee Haw) and you can catch the Grinders Switch Music Hour located at 405 W Public Square playing every Saturday from 10:00 am until 11:30 a.m
There are many things to enjoy in our area such as great fishing, hunting or kayaking on the Piney river.
We highly recommend the new coffee shop on the square, Muddy Duck, for amazing breakfast and lunch specials. Or not far up the road you will find the Pinewood Kitchen & Mercantile with amazing organic breakfast, lunch & dinner. Enjoy our local wineries: Grinders Switch Winery (Centerville), Amber Falls Winery in Hampshire, TN (our favorite), Keg Springs Winery also in Hampshire, Arrinton Winery (Arrington, TN)
Visit Storytellers Museum: this is a loving restoration of a building that Johnny Cash once owned. He was the benefactor of the creation of a little stage here, and supported small intimate concerts for the community – including the “Saturday Night In Hickman County” guitar pulls. Located at 9676 Old Highway 46, Bon Aqua, TN, which just a short 15-20 minute drive from our cottage.
Take a beautiful drive or bike ride down the Natchez Trace Parkway, you can access the parkway close by on Highway 50 or Highway 7. You will see access to hiking trails and there are beautiful waterfalls such as Jackson Falls. Take the Trace into Franklin or Nashville, you will truly be amazed at the scenery and wildlife that you will see along the way, watch out for deer if you travel it at night though!
