The main ingredient in any Italian meal is enjoying it with family and friends. It is a tradition that our family has shared over and over again throughout the ages. When they first arrived in America, Grandma Nosenzo and Grandpa Mancini built a restaurant in Upper Macopin, New Jersey; continuing on the tradition brought over from Italy. Their parents had owned pizzerias and little eateries all over Italy: as had their grandparents before them, and so on. The Mancini's even added an Inn onto their restaurant, encouraging people from all over to come share their food and stay a while.
As they passed down the tradition, it eventually fell to us. We honor our family's heritage by serving many of the same recipes while still adding in more modern takes on certain classics. The Nosenzo's hail from Southern Italy where the regions roots serve mainly the foods we are all so familiar with; pastas and meats. The Mancini's are based in the Northern regions of Italy where the tradition lies in fish based meals. Of course, all of Italy has always been in love with brick oven pizza.
