Learn more about Pennington Distilling Co..
Established in 2011, Pennington Distilling Company (formerly SPEAKeasy Spirits Distillery) is an urban, industrial distillery responsible for creating some of the largest volume craft brands in the area including Whisper Creek Tennessee Sipping Cream and Pickers Vodka. To go along with their current lineup of available products, they’ve spent multiple years distilling and aging three unique whiskies that are set to be released in the near future once they’re done aging. October 17, 2017 marked the third anniversary of the harvesting of the first barrels and on this date the first whiskey, Davidson Reserve Rye, was released.
Pennington Distilling Company is run by a team of industry veterans, who through their connections, have had access to learn from numerous distilling greats. From their knowledge, their goal has been and still is to create meticulously crafted spirits that embody the same character as the city they were born in, Nashville, Tennessee. From grain to bottle, every step is taken to produce spirits of exceptional craftsmanship and quality. Everything created at Pennington Distilling Company is made to the highest standards.
That’s why their whiskies remain aging in barrels for now. From sourcing local grains from acclaimed Renfroe Farms in Huntingdon, TN, milling all of the grains on site, using full sized 53 gallon barrels, and patiently aging everything to when they feel it’s ready, every element of the process is executed to create world-class whiskies. They have three types of whiskies, Tennessee Whiskey, Bourbon, and Rye, plus a few other experimental whiskies.
Nestled in the historic Nations neighborhood on the west side of Nashville, Pennington Distilling Company is convenient to downtown Nashville. Hopefully you can stop by, but if you can’t make it, their products are available throughout middle Tennessee and beyond including popular spots like The Ryman, Ascend Amphitheater, Loveless Café, Bridgestone Arena, the Grand Ole Opry, the Sounds Stadium, the Wildhorse Saloon, throughout Lower Broadway, and countless other locations. You can even pick up a bottle at the airport to take home with you!
