Tennessee is dotted with bountiful farmland, crisscrossed with scenic backroads, blessed with rolling hills and abundant wildlife. Across our state, Tennessee is wrapping a gift for today and for future generations, tying it in beautiful green ribbons . . . called greenways.
Our greenways are linear parks or corridors of protected open space following rivers, streams, ridgelines, mountaintops and other natural features. Some of Tennessee’s greenways provide connections, linking nature preserves, parks, historic sites to other areas. Travel along one of the more than 900 greenways in our state. Providing pathways for people, Tennessee’s greenways link all of us to the natural world.
