The City of Charlotte holds an annual one day event in August. This year's date is Saturday, August 24, 2013. Our festival is a homecoming for past residents that have moved away and for travelers who like to explore places with rich historic preserved areas. The Historic Charlotte Square is a wonderful place to hold a festival. We have a parade that starts at 10am, music at 11:00 am and many different vendors from across the USA, inflatables, rides, games, a toy walk and a cake walk. Our cakes and pies are donated by some of the finest cooks around, including Patsy Caldwell of Bless Your Heart: Saving The World One Covered Dish at a Time, and You Be Sweet: Sharing Your Heart One Down-Home Dessert at a Time. Festival starts at 10am until 6pm.
