Hendersonville | Tennessee Vacation

Hendersonville

Before becoming a popular Nashville suburb, Hendersonville was a quiet farm community. It was so small that for many years, a woman named Lily Hudgens operated the entire telephone switchboard for the town from her home. The formation of Old Hickory Lake on the Cumberland River in the 1950s brought new home construction and more residents. Today, it is NashvilleÂ’s biggest suburb by population.
