British founded 1880s village on Cumberland Plateau. Tour restored Victorian buildings. Award winning film, museum shops, unique lodging in original buildings, and river gorge trails. Rugby was named after Thomas Hughes' alma mater in England, and orginally planned to be a class free, agricultural community for younger sons of English gentry as well as Americans, most from the northeast.
