Take a step back in time while enjoying a Southern family-style meal around a big table with guests from all over the world!

Miss Mary Bobo's Boarding House has served up tradition and Southern hospitality, not to mention good home cooking, since 1908.  Located in the heart of Lynchburg, Tenn., just off the town square, it's recognized as one of the South's signature family-style dining restaurants.

It possesses a history almost as rich as Miss Mary's Fudge Pie and was built before Lynchburg became home to Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey. Miss Mary Bobo's began back in 1908 when a young Miss Mary assumed ownership of the historic Salmon Hotel.  The original structure was raised in the 1820s as a traveler's hotel and was built over a natural spring.  Miss Mary ran the boarding house until her death in 1983, just one month shy of her 102nd birthday. The Boarding House no longer boards guests, but continues Miss Mary's tradition of serving guests from all over the world a midday family-style dinner.

Meals are served in 9 separate dining rooms that are located on 3 levels of the house. Local hosts sit at each table and tell the rich history of Miss Mary Bobo's and Lynchburg to guests sitting around the table from all over the world. You enter as strangers and leave as friends!

Reservations are required. Walk-ins are welcome if seats are available but not guaranteed.  We gladly welcome groups of all sizes; from parties of 1 to 100. Call us at 931-759-7394 or visit www.missmarybobos.com to make reservations.
