Located in the heart of Music City in the historic Lower Broadway district, Robert's Western World is Nashville's undisputed home of traditional country music. If you long for the soulful sounds of the old-time, honky tonk crooners and cherish the music of stars such as Marty Robbins, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Roy Acuff, Ernest Tubb, Little Jimmy Dickens, Hank Snow, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Webb Pierce, Carl Smith, Carl Perkins, Johnny Horton and many more, you will feel like you have stepped back in time at Robert's Western World. Nashville Scene readers have consistently voted Robert's as the Best Honky Tonk in Nashville. The buildings on Broadway are steeped in history, with some of them serving as hospitals during the days of the American Civil War. The building that is now home to Robert's was used as a warehouse, office space for river merchants, and for a variety of other purposes.۬ From the late 1950s to the early 1980s, our building served as the home of Sho-Bud Steel Guitar Company. Shot Jackson and Buddy Emmons, two of the greatest steel guitar players in history, manufactured and sold some of the best steel guitars and other musical instruments ever made. They manufactured Dobro-style guitars and made other unique instruments including custom steel guitars for popular bands such as The Monkees, Yes and Poco. As soon as you enter Robert's, you'll hear the sounds of Brazilbilly, the country music house band with Latin flair.
