Legendary for its creation of the world's first combination candy bar, Standard Candy Company created Goo Goo Clusters in 1912 from caramel, marshmallows and peanuts surrounded by milk chocolate. Initially, Goo Goos were sold unwrapped at candy counters. Later, they were wrapped in tinfoil by hand. During the Great Depression, the candy was advertised as a "Nourishing Lunch for a Nickel."

Goo Goo Clusters have a long association with Nashville--and the Grand Ole Opry as one of its longest running sponsors.

Goo Goos have been a feature story on the Food Network and have "appeared" in several movies.
