The Hermitage is located on 1,120-acre site in Nashville, which includes the entire antebellum cotton plantation of Andrew Jackson. The identified and labeled trees are along the 1.5-mile trail from the Visitor’s Center to the Mansion, the first Hermitage, and the slave field quarters. It is thought that a few of the trees date back to the time of Andrew Jackson.
