The Cafe offers Nuveau Southern cuisine, its own brand of Southern dining with a "swath of Appalachian" engrained in the brand. Part of its mission is to provide "a place for friends and family to make lasting memories around our dinner table.”
The vibe is as fresh as the food, with a fun, family friendly atmosphere and New South flavors. The executive chef connects with local farmers, farmers markets and local food icons to employ "cooking inside the region and using what you have."
There’s more than beautifully conceived and executed food and local farm connections that make Tupelo Honey Cafe sweet—it’s also that their commitment to community goes beyond its doors. Just two days following their opening on Market Square, the cafe launched its partnership with Knox County Schools’ nutrition program by partnering with Beardsley Community Farm to host over 500 students for a day of practical lessons about food, food preparation and gardening. That’s just the tip of the cafe’s support of nutritional education and local schools.
