Mountain Biking

Come cycle off the beaten path in the Tennessee mountains and wild terrain. Relish new sights and friends made along the way.

Go off-road in Great Smoky Mountains National Park on the Gatlinburg Trail, the lower Deep Creek Trail and the Oconaluftee River Trail. In a tranquil valley, the Cades Cove Loop encourages bikers, and rentals are available. Along the way, take in churches and the Cable Mill area, with pioneer cabins, cantilevered barns, a gristmill and other historic structures. Natchez Trace State Park has mountain trails, and Fall Creek Falls State Park offers 15 miles of moderately difficult mountain trails. Looking to take a short spin on your bike and not go very far in the park? Campgrounds allow leisurely riding.
