Gatlinburg Village Shops

Well-known, “the Village” in downtown Gatlinburg Tennessee was originally started in 1965 by two families. Over a three-year period, materials were gathered to make the beautiful shopping complex design that you see today. Thick roofing slates, substantial carved doors, antique trim moldings and handmade bricks were gathered, giving each visitor a taste of the “old world." The construction process started in 1968, and by 1970 the first 18 shops were completed. The other 9 shops were added in 1982, completing the Village as it is today. The result is the beautiful, quaint shopping center standing on the Parkway in downtown Gatlinburg. Step back in time at “the Village” and enjoy a day of shopping in this 27-store shopping center.
