When the 1797 log home of William Nolen, Nolensvilles founder, was facing demolition in order to build a new development, Reverend and Mrs. Alfred Bennett stepped in and moved the home to its current location. The Nolens original cabin was expanded in the 1800s and covered with white siding, but the log walls are now on display and open to the public.
