"Born in Bristol" tells the story of country music’s most historic event: The Bristol Sessions. Through cinematic reenactments, we revisit those 12 days in 1927 when the musicians descended upon the Tennessee – Virginia state line to record the songs that would go on to be known as the “Big Bang” of country music. Then, we follow some of today’s top celebrity artists including Ashley Campbell, Ashley Monroe, Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, Eric Church, Marty Stuart, Shannon Campbell, Sheryl Crow, Steve Earle, and Vince Gill as they make history again by reinventing the recordings alongside Grammy-winning producer Carl Jackson.
