The Germantown Charity Horse Show (GCHS) seeks to preserve the equestrian history of Germantown and to financially assist charities in our community by producing an annual horse show each June for the enjoyment of competitors and spectators.

The Germantown Charity Horse Show was founded in 1948 and has been designated as a US Equestrian Heritage Competition - a designation that is reserved for competitions that have been established for a long period of time and have made substantial contributions to the development and promotion of the sport within the broader community through achieving, maintaining, and promoting equestrian ideals of sportsmanship and competition.

The GCHS is affectionately called "The Charity" for a reason.  We are pleased to contribute to the successful work at Kindred Place (formerly the Exchange Club Family Center) and other local  charities.  Through group therapy, individual counseling, and classes, Kindred Place works to break through the cycle of family violence by healing both victims and aggressors.  The Germantown Charity Horse Show is proud to partner with Kindred Place to make our community a safe and peaceful place for all citizens.  The Germantown Charity Horse Show has sponsored Kindred Place as its charity since 1999. Since then, more than $800,000 has been raised to support the organization and its mission.
