The Center for Popular Music at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro is a world-class research archive and programming center devoted to the study of American folk and popular music of all kinds. The Center maintains a research archive of over a million individual items, including sheet music, song books, sound recordings, photographs, manuscript documents, and much more. The archive serves MTSU students and faculty, as well as visiting patrons from around the country and the world. The Center also offers a robust series of public programs consisting of lectures, performances, workshops, film screenings, and conferences.
