The Tennessee River Museum is a tribute to the Tennessee River and its influence on the land, people and the heritage of the Tennessee Valley. See Shiloh's most famous artifact, the world-renowned kneeling figure of the Shiloh Effigy Pipe. See objects from the U.S.S. Cairo, the "hardluck ironclad" that plied local waters before the Battle of Shiloh, only to later spend 100 years beneath the muddy waters of the Yazoo River after striking a Confederate mine. Unearth Hardin County's diverse past by exploring over 200 fossils on display. Discover the Golden Age of Steamboats with photographs, memorabilia, and replicas from a time when steamer vessels dominated the Tennessee River. Walk the path of the Lt. Bell Treaty Party on their trek westward to present-day Oklahoma as part of the Trail of Tears.

The Tennessee River Museum also plays hosts to school groups from across West Tennessee with tours, night at the museum events, and seasonal programs and activities with TWRA officers, Shiloh rangers and even Santa!
