The Ghost section of the Wolf River is perfect for paddling enthusiasts wanting a challenge. The 8.4-mile section of the Wolf River is named as such because the river looks to disappear among sunken cypress trees and marshes. You can rent a canoe or kayak from outfitters such as Blues City Kayaks, Kayak Memphis Tours and Wolf River Adventure Paddling. Wolf River Adventure Paddling and Blues City Kayaks offer shuttle services on the Wolf River as well.

You'll stroll through exhibits highlighting over 40 breeds of dogs, memorabilia about field trials and shooting sports as well as an eclectic Field Trial Hall of Fame, Sporting Dog Hall of Fame and Retriever Hall of Fame honoring canines and humans.

Hike the Dry Ridge Trail, a 2.85-mile intermediate hiking trail that takes you around the beautiful Travis McNatt Lake, a small foot bridge and more.

One of the oldest family-owned restaurants in the U.S., Hagy's Catfish Hotel serves up platters of their world-famous whole Southern fried catfish, catfish filets, lemon pepper catfish and cajun catfish. The platters are always served with hushpuppies as well as your choice of French fries, a baked potato, sweet potato or steamed vegetables. Save room for dessert to try the lemon rub pie, baked at Hagy's since 1938.
