On a 4,200-acre estate in the foothills of Tennessee’s Smoky Mountains, Blackberry is one of the South’s most celebrated country inns. Those in the know commend its exquisite location, first-rate service and delicious food. (The inn produces its own cheese, eggs, honey, vegetables and fruit for its guests.) The property’s two ponds and stream beckon anglers who travel here solely for the Orvis-endorsed fly fishing; other diversions include horseback riding, swimming, hiking and tennis. Epicureans savor the regionally inspired haute cuisine. Housed in a charming 1870s farmhouse, the Aveda Concept Spa offers signature treatments using local blackberries to soothe and rejuvenate the body.
From Maryville take Hwy. 321 N. Follow Hwy. 321 for about 14 miles going toward the Smoky Mountains. Pass Foothills Pkwy. entrance and exit on your right. West Millers Cove Rd. will be the next road on your right. This is where Hwy. 321 narrows from a four-lane to a two-lane highway. Turn right onto West Millers Cove Rd. and follow for 3.5 miles, you will see the sign for Blackberry Farm on your left.
