Exploring the Enchanting North Pole Limited in Chattanooga
As our most popular annual event, North Pole Limited train rides have been a family tradition since 1999. During the magical holiday season, trains take riders on an imaginary journey to the North Pole. Along the way, you’ll be treated to refreshments and storytelling while you write your own personal letter to Santa. As the North Pole Limited train gently rolls down the rails, a number of lighted displays can be seen outside. When you arrive at the North Pole, Santa will come on board for a special visit with all the passengers.

Our family loves the Tennessee Valley Railroad! We have visited for Day Out with Thomas, North Pole, and Missionary Ridge rides. Each time is better than the time before. We live an hour and a half away and find everything about the TVRM to be worth the drive. The staff is always very friendly and the conductors go over the top to make sure our son (now three years old) has the most memorable time. As customers, we feel the train rides are reasonably priced and the environment is family friendly. As a parent, the memories and incredible experiences will keep us coming back! We are excited to attend high tea and another train ride next month. Keep up the great work, TVRM! Jessy W - Google Review
We did the North Pole Express with the kids, and it was amazing! Jennifer W - Google Review
It was a great experience and I highly recommend it to anyone. We have been a number of times, and it's a favorite of our two year old grandson's. He really enjoyed this year going on the Christmas train to the North Pole to see Santa. Michael M - Google Review
Did you know that when you purchase a ticket with the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, you are helping to preserve the history of railroads?
As a non-profit organization, it takes a lot of resources to restore and maintain our vintage trains and equipment. In fact, it can cost up to $1.5 million to completely rebuild a steam engine, which must be done every 15 years or sooner. Your support helps us to continue to share this important piece of history with the community. So not only are you enjoying a unique and memorable experience, you are also contributing to the preservation of railroad history.
