Learn more about Old Timers Day Festival .
Old Timers Day was established to honor “Old Timers” within our community. The festival remains to be one of the few “old time” festivals not only in Tennessee, but throughout the entire Southeast region. For the wonderful 59th celebration, the City of Dickson and Dickson County Chamber of Commerce are partnering to provide a series of musical events, various “old time” games, kids’ corner and the Robert Spicer Memorial Buck dance competition. There will be a quilt show which includes observing ladies dressed in period performing their version of old fashion quilting, living history demonstrators dressed in period providing a Civil War demonstration with a replica of a civil war camp. Other living history demonstrators will also be in period dress weaving baskets, doing laundry by hand, making candles, brooms, walking sticks and much more stressing the importance of preserving our history. The parade will be filled with floats, horse drawn wagons, and much more for your enjoyment. The day will be filled for your family’s complete enjoyment.
