Uncle Lem's Mountain Outfitters is located at 9715 Kingston Pike across the street from Franklin Square. Featuring products from The North Face, Patagonia, Vasque, Rainbow Sandals, KEEN, Sanuk, TEVA, MSR, and much more... Lem was the last "life lease" resident in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park and was the feature of several articles by Carson Brewer and the subject of an oil painting by Terry Chandler. Upon his death in 1984, Lem left his estate in a trust to the Tennessee Baptist Children's Homes because Mimmie (Lem's wife) would've liked that. Uncle Lem lived a simple life, a honest life, a meaningful life, a mountain life.Read MoreLess
