Learn more about Falcon Manor: B&B at Falcon Rest.
Clay Faulkner named his 1896 mansion "Falcon Rest," and "restful" is an appropriate description of Falcon Manor, the four bed-and-breakfast-style guest suites on the mansion's grounds. They are favorite getaways for honeymooners and couples celebrating birthdays or wedding anniversaries. Of course, for lots of other folks, a simple retreat alone together is a special occasion all its own. They're also a welcome change of pace for business travelers. There's lots to do on the grounds, from taking a guided tour of the mansion, shopping for treasures in the Victorian Gift Shop, having lunch or tea in the Victorian Tea Room or strolling the gardens and relaxing in a rocking chair. Though in a peaceful country setting, Falcon Manor is just minutes from downtown McMinnville and its historic Main Street. It's the ideal place to stay for Bluegrass Underground Concerts at McMinnville's Cumberland Caverns and hiking at nearby Rock Island or Fall Creek Falls State Parks. Its central location between Nashville, Chattanooga and Knoxville makes it a great base for any Middle Tennessee vacation. All the guest suites are located close enough to Falcon Rest's dining, shopping and tour facilities for convenience, but far enough away from those areas and from each other to allow an extra degree of privacy. The antiques and decor of the suites reflect those of the mansion itself, but—following Clay Faulkner's example—they're equipped with all the "modern conveniences:" -- private baths, TV with music and movie channels, free high-speed internet, individual heat and air controls, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards, coffee pots, microwaves, and compact refrigerators.
