
Morristown’s National Register Historic District is the home of the only overhead sidewalk system in the United States. The street level is lined with a multitude of antique, specialty, and clothing boutiques in addition to outstanding eateries and a taproom/brewery. The Morristown farmers market is located within the district. The Live on the Lawn concert series is held on the first Friday of the month, May through September at the Downtown Green event space adjacent to the Morristown farmer's market pavilion. The popular Morristown Craft Beer Festival is also held at the Downtown Green on the 4th Saturday in September. The historic Rose Center and Hamblen County Courthouse are also located within the district as is the Sherwood Commons shopping area.
