Lavender Festival is a free annual event in Historic Jackson Square, Oak Ridge TN, featuring 150 artisans, live music, local food, informative presentations, a Tennessee wine tasting, children’s activities and more! Lavender Festival celebrates health, herbs and the environment, and invites visitors to Jackson Square, the original townsite of Oak Ridge! It is the oldest Lavender Festival in the south. In 2024, the 24th Annual Lavender Festival will take place on June 15th from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm!
IT ALL STARTED WHEN…
Since 1998, the Lavender Festival has grown larger and more popular each year. Thousands of people visit the festival in Historic Jackson Square in Oak Ridge each year to see a variety of regional vendors whose goal is to celebrate health, herbs, and the environment. The Lavender Festival is scheduled for the third weekend in June, at the peak season for the herb it celebrates.
From homemade jams to fine art, you can enjoy the sounds of music floating through the square from the large Festival Tent, as well as demonstrations and presentations throughout the day.
You won't want to miss the Tour of Gardens that takes place June 14 - 16, 2024 and the Nine Lakes Wine Tasting will be during the Lavender Festival on the 15th. An additional ticket is required for these two events.
