Scotty Moore was Elvis Presley's lead guitarist from 1954 to 1958. He created the guitar parts on Presley's early recordings, widely known among the most pioneering and influential rock 'n' roll. Moore’s solos on Presley’s recordings defined the vocabulary of rock ’n’ roll guitar when there were no precedents. His tone, economy and use of reverberation helped make the guitar the premier instrument of rock ’n’ roll.
