Dive into two worlds of wonder and excitement at the top-rated aquarium in America. Begin with the freshwater exhibits in the River Journey. The adventure continues with the Ocean Journey. Experience two aquariums in one great city — Chattanooga.

Along the way, you'll have opportunities to come face to face with feisty otters, giant catfish, and tons of turtles. Enjoy playful penguins, touch a sturgeon, and marvel at toothy sharks and enormous Arapaima. Plan on spending at least three hours to enjoy observing and learning about all of the Aquarium's diverse gathering of animals.

Opening March 1, Lemur Forest represents the next exciting addition to an Aquarium visit. Housed underneath the iconic glass peaks of the Ocean Journey building, this all-new exhibit recreates the landscape of Madagascar — from spiny forests to rainforests — and showcases the amazing abilities and extraordinary charisma of Ring-tailed and Red-ruffed Lemurs. These animals impart a powerful conservation message and will be featured in all new daily Extraordinary Experiences programming.

Guests arriving this spring also will notice drastic improvements to Stingray Bay, a favorite destination for visitors and the largest touchtank in the Aquarium. Thanks to smoother, slimmer tanks walls, guests —  especially younger visitors — will be able to more easily reach out and touch the shark and ray species housed in this exhibit as they cruise through the warm water.

Through April 15, guests can take a deeper dive into the hidden realm of some of the world's largest freshwater fishes through "Monster Fish: In Search of the Last River Giants," a special National Geographic exhibition. It's FREE with Aquarium membership or general admission.

Stunning life-sized sculptures, hands-on interactive exhibits, and videos featuring Dr. Zeb Hogan, aquatic ecologist and host of the Nat Geo WILD series "Monster Fish" put you in the field to study these spectacular, yet little-known animals.

Download the FREE Tennessee Aquarium app from the iTunes Store or Google Play to maximize your adventure. Use the app to plan your visit, check IMAX showtimes and to get even closer to creatures during the many Extraordinary Experiences programs offered free with Aquarium admission each day.
