On April 8, 2024, a historic total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States and Canada.

Come experience the eclipse at 12:41 p.m. at Discovery Park of America, where there will be 99.2% coverage of the sun. Bring your chairs, enjoy some fun activities and watch the beauty of the eclipse, as there will not be another opportunity for 20 years. Food will be available for purchase in Sabin’s Cafe and Eats and Treats near the Great Lawn.

To safely view the total solar eclipse, you’ll need special solar eclipse glasses. These specialized shades will protect your retinas from damage while you observe the sun.
