Cherokee Park, a beautiful 178-acre public park on the banks of pristine Cherokee Lake, features 74 campsites equipped with water and electrical hook-ups, and bathrooms with hot showers and a dump station for self-contained trailer rigs. Cherokee Park offers picnic pavilions, a championship 18-hole disc golf course, public restrooms, a boat launch area, a marina, splash pad, and children's playground areas. The Veterans Pavilion is an enclosed building complete with a full kitchen, restrooms, heating, and air conditioning, and tables and chairs for 100 people. The Jefferson Federal Citizen Tribune amphitheater hosts concerts and performances. Cherokee Lake is well known for a year-round catch of crappie, bass, bluegill, and rockfish. You will find some of the best bass fishing in the southeastern United States!
