Cherokee Park, a beautiful 178 acre public park on the banks of pristine Cherokee Lake, features 74 campsites equipped with water and electrical hook-ups, and bathrooms with hot showers and a dump-station for self-contained trailer rigs. Cherokee Park offers picnic pavilions, disc golf course, public restrooms, boat launch area, marina, splach pad, and children's playground areas. The Veterens Pavilion is an enclosed building complete with a full kitchen, restrooms, heating and air conditioning,and tables and chairs for 100 people. The Jefferson Federal Citizen Tribune ampitheatre hosts concerts and performances. Cherokee Lake is well known for year-round catch of crappie, bass, blue gill and rock fish. You will find some of the best bass fishing in the eastern United States!
