Cherokee Park, a beautiful 178-acre public park on the banks of pristine Cherokee Lake, features 74 campsites equipped with water and electrical hook-ups, and bathrooms with hot showers and a dump station for self-contained trailer rigs. Cherokee Park offers picnic pavilions, a championship 18-hole disc golf course, public restrooms, a boat launch area, a marina, splash pad, and children's playground areas. The Veterans Pavilion is an enclosed building complete with a full kitchen, restrooms, heating, and air conditioning, and tables and chairs for 100 people. The Jefferson Federal Citizen Tribune amphitheater hosts concerts and performances. Cherokee Lake is well known for its year-round catch of crappie, bass, bluegill, and rockfish. You will find some of the best bass fishing in the southeastern United States!
