The Gatlinburg Inn in Gatlinburg was the site of where the famous song, "Rocky Top," was written in room 388. Written by country songwriting team, Boudleaux and Felice Bryant, the song is one of the most well-known bluegrass songs of all time. Originally recorded by The Osborne Brothers, it became a standard and was inducted as one of Tennessee's official state songs. It also became the fight song of the University of Tennessee's football team, the Volunteers. The Bryant's were inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
